Liberty Fabrics’ Frieze is lustrously detailed and rich in color – printed in Liberty’s Italian fabric mill, on the inimitable Tana Lawn cotton.
Frieze is a large-scale floral print, hand-painted in acrylics by the Liberty Fabrics studio team. Influenced by an Impressionist interpretation of a Victorian interior, the design draws inspiration from the dramatic, textural wallpapers of a Kensington house that has remained frozen in time since the 1900s. Tana Lawn cotton is a fabric built by obsession, perfected into a modern masterpiece of production through a bespoke process that has evolved over a century. Printed in the cutting-edge Liberty fabric mill, located between Milan and Lake Como in northern Italy, Tana Lawn realises unmatchable fluidity with a silk-like touch, unique print quality and striking color vibrancy. Use Tana Lawn to create sleek separates, statement creations or tailored daily pieces – the possibilities are as wild as your imagination. Tana Lawn is machine washable and durable enough for daily wear. For Autumn/Winter 2019’s Aesthetic Renaissance collection, Liberty Fabrics’ in-house design team drew inspiration from the adventurous life and artistic inspirations of our founder, Sir Arthur Lasenby Liberty. Traveller, tastemaker and gentleman, Arthur’s passion for globetrotting and treasure-hunting with his wife Emma forms the basis of Liberty’s enduring appeal. Inspirations swing from expeditions in faraway lands to the peace and quiet of English country gardens, via the opulently stylised forms of the Aesthetic Movement and Art Nouveau styles.
