Lady Zadie was re-worked from a design on a frock coat, which was part of a court suit from the late eighteenth century. The coat was made from heavy silk with metallic thread. The design was hand drawn in pencil to emphasize the three-dimensional aspect of the heavy threads sitting over the silk fabric.
