Instructor: Elizabeth Miles
This four-week class introduces adults to the art of sewing. Each student will choose and make a project from an instructor-approved
list. In addition, everyone will practice these techniques: pinning and cutting, basic seam finishes, stay stitching, fusing interfacing,
and making a casing, a lapped zipper and shaped seams. Class fee includes sample supplies; Elizabeth also brings basic sewing tools for
your use during class. First class attendance is crucial to learn machine skills and purchase project supplies. Approved projects include
specific patterns for pull-on pants, pull-on skirts, aprons, a tote, a small purse, and a decorator pillow.
