This four-week class introduces adults to the art of sewing. Each student will select a project from an instructor-approved
list to make during the class. Sewing samples, each student will practice all of these techniques: pinning and cutting skills,
seam finishes, stay stitching, fused interfacing, a casing, a lapped zipper, and shaped seams. Class fee includes sample
supplies; Elizabeth also brings basic sewing tools for your use during class. First class attendance is crucial. Approved
projects include pull-on pants, pull-on skirts, aprons, a tote, a small purse, and a decorator pillow, with specific pattern
recommendations.
REGISTRATION:
- Class fees must be paid by cash or check (made payable to the instructor) at time of registration.
- Classes may be cancelled if there are insufficient paid registrations.
- Students qualify for a 10% discount on purchases at Josephine's Dry Goods during class session.
- Sewing machines available upon request at no charge for use during classes.
- 48 hour notice required prior to first class for registration refund.
- Make-ups are only by prior arrangement.
