Learn to sew or refine your technique at Josephine's

KNIT TOPS & DRESSES

• Thursdays, October 21 - November 4, 2010
• Thursdays, March 10 - 24, 2011

6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Class Fee: $85 per session
Instructor: Elizabeth Miles

These days every wardrobe includes knits. Come make yourself a knit top with your own creative touches. Week one we will discuss cutting out knits, review ease for proper fit of knits, and make sure that edge allowances reflect your design decisions. Week two you will sew the neckline and shoulder seams with guidance from Elizabeth, and week three will focus on sleeves, hems and other finishing touches. Recommended pattern list is available at the store. Schedule a separate fitting appointment with Elizabeth if you want a personalized fit. Sign up for Knit Techniques to gain a repertoire of knit sewing skills.

REGISTRATION:

All classes are held at Josephine's Dry Goods, 521 SW 11th, in downtown Portland.
Class fees must be paid at the time of registration. Cash or check (made payable to the instructor) is preferred, but you may also use your credit card.
Classes may be cancelled if there are insufficient paid registrations.
Students qualify for a 10% discount on purchases at Josephine's Dry Goods during class session.
Sewing machines available upon request at no charge for use during classes.
48 hour cancellation notice required prior to first class for registration refund.
Please plan to attend all sessions; there are no make-up classes.
We recommend the parking garage at the First Presbyterian Church on the corner of 12th and Alder, especially when on-street parking is hard to find.
