Learn to sew or refine your technique at Josephine's

KNIT TECHNIQUES

• Tuesdays, February 28 & March 6, 2012

6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Class Fee: $80 (includes sample kit)
Instructor: Elizabeth Miles

Welcome to the world of knits! Learn how to use and control the stretch in knits as you sew a variety of seam and hem samples. You will create samples of ribbed, bound, and turn-and-stitch necklines, and finish with a discussion of how to choose an appropriate knit fabric for your project and plan the correct amount of ease. Save your (many!) samples to guide your future creativity with knits. Sign up for Knit Tops & Dresses to refine your skills.

REGISTRATION:

All classes are held at Josephine's Dry Goods, 521 SW 11th, in downtown Portland.
Class fees must be paid at the time of registration. Cash or check (made payable to the instructor) is preferred, but you may also use your credit card.
Classes may be cancelled if there are insufficient paid registrations.
48 hour cancellation notice required prior to first class for registration refund.
Please plan to attend all sessions; there are no make-up classes.
Students qualify for a 10% discount on purchases at Josephine's Dry Goods during class session.
Sewing machines available upon request at no charge for use during classes.
We recommend the parking garage at the First Presbyterian Church on the corner of 12th and Alder, if you don't find on-street metered parking.
