Hand Sewing Essentials

Every sew-er needs to know some basics of hand sewing. Learn how hand stitching can give you maximum accuracy and control for marking, basting, hemming and finishing. We'll talk about your choices of needles and threads and practice a few simple stitches to get you started. You will also practice sewing on hooks, buttons and snaps so they'll stay put.


REGISTRATION:

• All classes are held at Josephine's Dry Goods, 521 SW 11th, in downtown Portland.
• Class fees must be paid at the time of registration. Cash or check (made payable to the instructor) is preferred, but you may also use your credit card.
• Classes may be cancelled if there are insufficient paid registrations.
• 48 hour cancellation notice required prior to first class for registration refund.
• Please plan to attend all sessions; there are no make-up classes.
• Students qualify for a 10% discount on purchases at Josephine's Dry Goods during class session.
• Sewing machines available upon request at no charge for use during classes.
• We recommend the parking garage at the First Presbyterian Church on the corner of 12th and Alder, if you don't find on-street metered parking.
